Vocabulario básico en inglés que debes conocer: Expresiones básicas

El inglés es un idioma con un vocabulario mucho más extenso de lo que parece, y me imagino que te habrás dado cuenta una vez en Inglaterra al hablar con tus compañeros de trabajo o clase, sobre todo si son nativos.

Además del inglés reglamentario para sobrevivir y saber comunicarte, hay una amplia gama de refranes, frases hechas y palabras que no se suelen enseñar en las academias, como son insultos o expresiones.

Aquí queremos ayudarte un poquito en ese tema y te presentamos una amplia lista de frases que ayudarán a mejorar tu expresión y hacer que tus colegas ingleses se queden con la boca abierta.

Cada idioma tiene sus particularidades y entre estas están esas frases o dichos populares que por medio de metáforas o analogías encierran un significado que puede ser aplicado en distintos momentos de la vida.

Expresiones como “me pone la piel de gallina”, “de perdidos al río”, “llueve a cántaros”, son propias de nuestro idioma y al traducirlas literalmente al idioma inglés estas perderían sentido y se volverían totalmente incomprensibles para un nativo. Es por ello que a continuación te presentaremos 200 expresiones comunes del idioma inglés con su equivalente a nuestra lengua y un ejemplo para reforzar su aplicación.
